Chatroom Allowlist Service Overview
To ensure the normal delivery of important messages in chatrooms, the chatroom service, by default, discards the latest messages that exceed the consumption limit in chronological order when the message volume is high, ensuring server stability.
Given the above characteristics of the chatroom service, the IM Service provides the Chatroom Allowlist Service to help protect certain messages in your app. After enabling this service, you can use the following features:
- Chatroom User Allowlist: This can be used to protect important users in specified chatrooms, supporting the setting of allowlisted users by chatroom. For example, users with important roles such as administrators and hosts in specific chatrooms within your app.
- Chatroom Message Allowlist: This can be used to protect specified message types across all chatrooms in your app. For example, custom red packet messages in your app.
